I have read Wise and Otherwise before this one and I pretty much enjoyed it; so when I was recommended this one, I was actually looking forward to read it. Each chapter ends with some sort of a moral or specious observation about habits, people, India, culture etc. For instance, money doesn’t bring one happiness.

I would say I definitely enjoyed some stories like, Freedom of Speech, Friends Forever, Sweet Hospitality, Two faces of poverty as they were more relatable, showed the context well, and also had a good message attached to it unlike many others. There is another story of how an old lady in a village in Karnataka, out of her sense of responsibility towards the community asks her to get toilets built for the women and how some ladies think that this is her business venture.

This book is a collection of 25 stories ,each showcasing the different facets of human nature as experienced by Sudha Murthy in her interactions with people as chairperson of the Infosys foundation and her family and friends. Otherwise just interact with people around you and listen to their stories: Too good a portrait of India and even better of herself and her Infosys foundation.
